DIGESTION
Digestion Aid
According to the NIH and the National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse, constipation is a condition in which you have fewer than three bowel movements in a week, and your stools are hard, dry and small, making them painful and difficult to pass. Some people have a bowel movement a few times a day, while others go just a few times a week. Unless you are going to the bathroom much less often than usual, there is no need for concern. It is important that you take control of your diet as this has the highest impact in resolving any constipation problem. In addition to taking Constip™ homeopathic medicine (see Directions), here are key tips to relief constipation: a) eat more fiber (20 to 35 gm of daily fiber will make stool softer and easier to pass), b) stay hydrated (try to drink 8 glasses of water per day), and c) limit high fat/low fiber foods, such as cheese and other dairy products, processed food and meat, since these can worsen constipation. We encourage you to contact our Homeopaths in case of questions.
